Shea Charles 'set on joining Leeds' as Palace and Fulham circle

Shea Charles is attracting interest from Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Fulham after a breakout season with Southampton, which included a late FA Cup winner at Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail, despite attention from Palace and Fulham, the Northern Ireland international is set on joining Leeds, who have tracked him for some time, and the club hoped to accelerate a deal this weekend after positive talks.

Leeds have made several bids for Charles, all of which have been rejected by Southampton.

He is keen for a swift resolution so the saga does not drag on.

Leeds are seeking to strengthen their top-flight position, and have already signed Harry Wilson on a free transfer after 10 goals for Fulham last season. A move for Charles could cost about £30m, with Leeds his favoured destination at this stage.
