‘Shut down the stadium’ – Real Madrid star’s wife joins Barcelona critics | OneFootball

The wife of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has on Saturday taken firm aim at the standard of officiating in La Liga.

This comes after Barcelona saw a major decision go in their favour in the Blaugrana’s showdown with Atlético Madrid.

Hansi Flick’s troops are fresh off extending their advantage atop Spain’s top-flight to a hefty seven points this evening.

After making the trip to Spain’s capital to lock horns with the aforementioned Atlético, the Catalans ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.

En route to as much, Barca saw a crucial refereeing call go their way, upon a Gerard Martín red card being downgraded to yellow following a VAR review.

Those of a Real Madrid persuasion were quick to make clear their anger with the decision, adamant that Martín should have been sent for an early bath.

And as alluded to above, such supporters have since been joined in their social media backlash by the wife of one of their club’s star performers.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Mina Bonino, partner of Fede Valverde, unveiled an image of Martín’s challenge, accompanied by the caption:

‘You have to shut down the stadium if this isn’t a red.’
