Sienna Wareing seals move to West Ham from Manchester United | OneFootball

West Ham have confirmed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Sienna Wareing from Manchester United.

Wareing joins West Ham

Wareing spent seven years at United, having joined the club after a successful trial. Her football journey started at Mill Hill Juniors before a spell with Blackburn Rovers.

She enjoyed a superb 2025/26 season with United. Wareing was named the club’s Academy U21 Player of the Year.

The England youth international played a key role for the Red Devils as they lifted the Professional Game Academy Plate. She scored the winning goal against Durham in the final and earned the Player of the Match award.

During the second half of last season, Wareing made six appearances for Liverpool Feds via a dual registration arrangement.

Her form also earned her a maiden call-up to the Young Lionesses, and she went on to feature three times for England U19s in their 2026 UEFA Women’s U19 European Championship qualifiers.

In a major blow to United, West Ham have announced that Wareing has signed a deal that runs until 2029.

Statement

The former United starlet said, “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for West Ham United. The conversations I had with Rita [Guarino] and the staff really made me feel welcome and I can’t wait to carry on my development here.”

“Signing my first professional contract is such a proud moment for me and my family.”

I’m excited to get started when we return for pre-season and to meet all of my new teammates.”

Head coach Rita Guarino remarked, “Sienna is a player that we believe has a lot of potential. She is a creative midfielder who can make things happen in the final third.”

“She has recently made her debut for England U19s and I’m sure that she will continue to progress here in east London in a West Ham shirt in years to come.”

The Hammers finished 10th in the WSL on 19 points, a distant 21 points adrift of fourth-placed United.
