Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s cost-cutting at Man United appears to have paid off
Manchester United announced record revenues of £666.5m for the past season, yet still recorded a £33m loss for the financial year.
The club endured a dismal on-pitch season, finishing 15th in the Premier League and missing out on Champions League football for 2024/25.
Operating losses decreased significantly from £69.3m to £18.4m, with overall losses falling from £113.2m to £33m.
These financial shifts follow co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's implementation of wide-ranging changes, who previously stated the club had "gone off the rails".
Chief executive Omar Berrada expressed confidence in the club's future trajectory, highlighting strong commercial performance and expected benefits from cost-reduction programmes.
