Chelsea got beaten 2-1 by Brighton in The FA Cup fourth round last night and it’s not a good read going through some of the reviews this morning.

If you watched the game you would have seen how terrible Chelsea were anyway, but seeing these ratings makes it all much more like a smack in the face as a Blues fan.

EXCLUSIVE! The SIXTEEN players Chelsea made attempts on trying to sign in January but failed!

Chelsea took a very early lead through and awful goalkeeping error from a Cole Palmer cross for the second week in a row, getting very lucky. But after that, nothing was good at all for Chelsea and Enzo Maresca made some comments too after the game that Chelsea fans will be fuming with.

Going out of the FA Cup is something that should not be played down, especially this early in the competition. Of course, Chelsea can now concentrate on qualifying for Champions League football this season now and are also still in the Conference League. But winning the FA Cup or at least having a very good run, would have done a lot of good for Maresca and the confidence of his team.

A evening to forgot for most

The 4th Official put out their match ratings last night as they always do, and it’s not good reading for a number of Chelsea players.

SIX players were rated either 5.5 or under. Pedro Neto was terrible and got rated 5. Then Tyrique George, Noni Madueke, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Malo Gusto, and Robert Sanchez all got rated a 5.5.

The only player who could really hold their head up and say that they played well is Moises Caicedo, who got rated a 7.5 in the heart of the Chelsea midfield whilst also starting the game wearing the captains armband.
