Milos Kerkez left the AC Milan set-up before he was at the level he is now, and the Rossoneri are watching with regret as he continues to be linked to more elite clubs.
Since leaving Milan in 2022, the left-back has been on an upward path and after impressing with AZ Alkmaar, Bournemouth took the gamble on him, one that has paid off significantly. Just a year after joining it seems he could be on the move once again.
Impressing regularly, he has taken the interest of Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks, whilst other Premier League clubs also lurk in the background, according to Sky Germany (via Milan News). Despite having a contract until 2028, both clubs would be able to pay the fee that the Cherries are asking for – believed to be more than €35m.
All of this comes at a time when Milan are desperately looking for a Theo Hernandez deputy and perhaps had the Hungarian remained at the club, he would have been the heir to the Frenchman when it was his time to depart.
Of course, hypothetical, but it would not be a surprise if there was a feeling of What if at Milanello, even if it was just for the financial aspect.
