The Real Oviedo star has been constantly linked with the Bhoys of late, with several reports stating that the club are eyeing the World Cup star for a leading role under Martin O’Neill next term.
It is unquestionably true that the Irishman is in desperate need of reinforcements, with the club agonisingly slow in the marketplace as usual this summer.

Deals for two of last season’s heroes in our dramatic title-winning comeback in May, in the form of Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi, were lowballed and unbelievably prevented from returning to Paradise.
Those two players were ones the manager specifically asked that CEO Michael Nicholson and CFO Chris McKay tie down to help aid the major surgery required this window.
However, as we all now know, the boss was left with egg on his face once again as the players were kiboshed by the Hoops hierarchy, no doubt owing to the fact that neither would have much resale value.
Added to that, the club allegedly briefed the mainstream media with a scandalous piece of propaganda surrounding Kelechi Iheanacho’s wage request, yet that was dismissed by updates from Turkey instantly.

With Ipswich Town now officially opening talks with Celtic over the possible sale of Daizen Maeda, the update surrounding Hassan paints a bleak picture. The club’s refusal to sign players before getting others off the wage bill is at the stage where it is severely harming the our chances to be successful on the football pitch.
The UEFA Champions League play-off is just around the corner again and barely any meaningful strengthening of the playing squad has been achieved.

The constant feet-dragging and dithering and delaying is going to see the club come a cropper this year, after narrowly escaping last term. Former Celtic captain Paul Lambert amongst various others have warned that the Hoops won’t get away with it again – and now we are without Iheanacho, Sarrachi and Maeda.
Here’s that update surrounding Hassan though, via Scottish journalist Anthony Joseph:
“Celtic have made an enquiry for Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan.
The Hoops are keen to bring the Egypt international to Glasgow after an impressive display at the World Cup & they’re exploring the conditions of a potential deal.
Hassan, 24, has one-year left on his contract.”
We’ll settle for maintenance at this stage!
