FC Bayern has secured its next transfer fee. Jonathan Asp Jensen is moving to Deportivo La Coruña—and the Munich club is apparently earning more than initially expected.
FC Bayern continues to reshape its roster and has secured another sale. Jonathan Asp Jensen is on the verge of a move to Deportivo La Coruña. While there had recently been talk of a transfer fee of around six million euros, the deal now appears to be even more lucrative for the Munich club.
As reported by Sky, both clubs have fully agreed to the transfer. The 20-year-old attacking player will sign a contract in Spain that runs through 2031.
According to Sky, the total transfer fee amounts to seven million euros, including potential bonus payments. Furthermore, the report states that FC Bayern has secured a share of any future resale proceeds, meaning the Munich club could benefit financially again should the Danish player be transferred in the future.
This means that the hard line taken by Bayern’s management in the negotiations for Asp Jensen has paid off. Lazio Rome had initially wanted to sign the youngster on loan with an option to buy or an obligation to buy. However, Bayern rejected this model, as they insisted on an immediate sale from the very beginning.
Deportivo La Coruña ultimately emerged as the club that met the record champion’s demands. The attacking midfielder, who played on loan for Grasshopper Zurich last season, is thus heading to Spain’s La Liga.

For FC Bayern, the transfer is also a financial success. Instead of the initially expected six million euros, up to seven million euros will now flow to Munich. Thanks to the additionally agreed-upon share of any future transfer fee, Bayern could even benefit significantly more from the Danish young player’s development in the long term.
The sale of Asp Jensen marks the latest transfer revenue this summer. Previously, FC Bayern had sold Daniel Peretz to Southampton FC, Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham FC, and Alexander Nübel to Besiktas Istanbul, among others, and continues to work on generating additional revenue through further sales.
