Pep Guardiola says it will not take long for new signing Antoine Semenyo to settle in at Manchester City.

The forward has completed a £64m move from Bournemouth to City and Guardiola thanked the Ghanaian for choosing his side over several of their rivals.

“Everybody knows his quality, so he play extraordinarily in Bournemouth, in the last years,” Guardiola said.

“He can play in both sides, right, left. He uses both legs unbelievably. In striker, as well, he can play.

“His pace, he knows the Premier League. So many clubs want him and he decided to join us, so all I can say is thanks to him. I’m really pleased for the next years.

“We’ve followed him for a long time.

“With wingers, we have three specific players, like Oscar (Bobb), Savio and Jeremy (Doku), so we need to reinforce for the next years and that’s why the club made the gesture, the effort to take him.
