Southampton hand Fellows fitness boost for Coventry clash | OneFootball

Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert says Fellows will be fit and available for Saturday’s meeting with the Championship's runaway leaders Coventry City.

According to Daily Echo, the 22-year-old missed last weekend's trip to Norwich City with a groin issue, and Saints lost 2-1 at Carrow Road.

"Tom is available, he had a very good training session today, and he looks good, actually."

Fellows has three assists in seven appearances under Eckert, and his combination with Finn Azaz from wing-back is considered important.

Boss Frank Lampard won the Manager of the Month award in both October and November, edging Eckert last time.

Mads Roerslev and Elias Jelert have been sidelined for an extended spell, with Roerslev missing six league games and Jelert 10.

Eckert said Elias trained for the first time at the start of the week and he thinks Saturday may come a little too soon.

They will see if they can involve him for Oxford, depending on the next few days, and Mads is supposed to return to training next week.
