Among all clubs, FC Barcelona currently provides the highest number of players to the Spanish national team. Stars like Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, Pau Cubarsi, and Fermin Lopez are regular selections under coach Luis de la Fuente.
In the national team, these players share the dressing room with members from other clubs, including their traditional rivals, Real Madrid. However, recent tensions between Barcelona and Real Madrid players are raising concerns within the staff.
According to a report from Diario AS, the national team staff is particularly worried about conflicts involving Lamine Yamal and several Real Madrid players.
Luis de la Fuente, who places great importance on team harmony, is urging the Spanish Football Federation to help maintain good relations among the players.
The latest incidents highlight the challenge. After the last league El Clasico, Yamal and Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal had a heated exchange following the final whistle. Similarly, the Blaugrana winger clashed with Dean Huijsen during the Spanish Super Cup final, creating further tension.
De la Fuente has consistently prioritized team cohesion and is careful to exclude players who might disrupt the squad’s atmosphere. For the coach, success at international tournaments starts with maintaining harmony among players during long periods together.
He is therefore focused on preventing friction points, particularly between Yamal and the Real Madrid contingent, to ensure the national team can perform without distraction.
