Tottenham’s Solomon Dilemma: Bargain or Risk?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to part ways with Manor Solomon in the summer transfer window, with Leeds United and Everton expressing interest, according to CaughtOffside. The Israeli winger, who arrived at Spurs on a free transfer, has struggled with injuries but is now rediscovering his form on loan at Leeds.

Solomon’s Revival at Leeds

Since joining Leeds at the start of the 2024/25 campaign, Solomon has been instrumental in their push for promotion back to the Premier League. A devastating knee injury derailed his Spurs career, limiting him to just a handful of appearances. However, his performances at Elland Road have reignited interest in his abilities, with Leeds keen to secure him permanently if they return to the top flight.

Tottenham’s Profit Opportunity

Solomon’s five-year deal at Spurs means any sale would result in a profit, having cost them nothing upon arrival. CaughtOffside reports that Tottenham are open to bids between £10m and £15m, a fee considered reasonable given his resurgence at Leeds. While his time in England has been turbulent, his technical ability and attacking flair make him an enticing prospect for clubs willing to take a chance.

Everton’s Interest and Injury Concerns

Leeds aren’t the only side monitoring the situation. Everton, eager to add firepower, have also been heavily linked. Yet, despite being described as “a different level” by some observers, Solomon’s injury record remains a concern. He has suffered two long-term layoffs in recent years, something clubs will undoubtedly factor into negotiations.

Tottenham, having secured Solomon for free, face little risk in cashing in. His contract still has years left, but with his Spurs future uncertain, an exit seems increasingly likely.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

Excited Leeds fans will be thrilled with Solomon’s impact this season. His pace, dribbling, and creativity have added a new dimension to their attack. If Leeds secure promotion, locking him down permanently should be a priority—especially given Tottenham’s reasonable asking price.

For Everton fans, the deal carries more risk. While Solomon could bring much-needed width and unpredictability, his injury history is a red flag. The Toffees can’t afford another fitness gamble, having seen too many signings struggle with availability in recent years.

From Tottenham’s perspective, this is straightforward business. Solomon’s time at Spurs hasn’t worked out, and selling him now ensures they make a profit. The only potential regret? If he truly fulfils his potential elsewhere.
