Wesley Saïd broke the game open in the 57th minute with a right-footed finish into the top right, as Lens won 3-0 at Toulouse.
The forward's movement through the middle created the angle for that crisp finish, a moment that shifted control of the contest towards the league leaders.
He stayed dangerous after the restart, rising for a glancing header that drifted just over (70.).
The striker then slipped a through ball that drew a save in the second minute of second half stoppage time. He finished with four attempts, two on target, and supplied two key passes, linking play with 45 of 51 passes completed.
With Lens enjoying 67.9% possession, Saïd repeatedly found pockets between the lines, pinning defenders and keeping Toulouse's back three on the turn.
Lens remain top of Ligue 1 and visit Sochaux in the Coupe de France next. Toulouse travel to Angers in the Coupe de France.
