Liverpool welcome one star back ahead of the final game of the season. This may well be his Anfield bow.

This will be the final Liverpool match for several stars - some of the biggest in club history, in fact. We already know that Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will call time on their Anfield careers.

But they will almost certainly not be alone in that. Another potentially leaving the club after this one is Alisson Becker, who is heavily linked with a move to Juventus.

There can be little doubt at this stage that Juve want to sign the Brazilian. The only real question is whether Liverpool are open to selling but all signs point to yes.

Especially as there are reports of the Reds considering other goalkeepers. Manchester City’s James Trafford is supposedly one of those.

There was a question, however, around Alisson’s availability for what could be his final appearance for the club. He’s been out with an injury, after all.

Alisson is back in training as of Friday, though. It seems he’s on track to start against Brentford and be a part of what will be an emotional goodbye for many.

Alisson Becker: Situation Summary

Liverpool Performance and Fitness

As of 22 May 2026, Alisson Becker is set to return to training today ahead of Liverpool's final match against Brentford on Sunday. The 33-year-old goalkeeper has been sidelined with an injury since mid-March, forcing Giorgi Mamardashvili to deputise. Head coach Arne Slot confirmed that Alisson will train with the squad on Friday morning, and he is expected to start on Sunday to receive an emotional farewell from the Anfield supporters.

Transfer Speculation

Reports indicate Alisson has given Juventus the "green light" for a summer move, agreeing to a potential three-year deal. Crucially, he is reportedly willing to sacrifice Champions League football, remaining committed to the switch even though Juventus recently dropped to sixth in Serie A following a defeat to Fiorentina. Liverpool recently activated a one-year extension keeping him under contract until 2027, primarily to secure a transfer fee.
