Roma are working on the signing of 23-year-old defender Mika Marmol from Las Palmas.
In light of Mario Hermoso’s move to Bayer Leverkusen, the Giallorossi have shifted their attention to Marmol as Hermoso’s direct replacement.
However, the deal with Las Palmas appears difficult as time is not on Roma’s side given the approaching transfer deadline.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is still no agreement between the two clubs.
Roma met with Marmol’s agent yesterday and reached out to Las Palmas to negotiate a lower pricetag on Marmol.
Las Palmas, however, continue to ask for the release clause of 10 million euros.
Roma’s idea of including Samuel Dahl in the deal was promptly rejected by the Canarian side: Las Palmas want cash only, given that Barcelona will earn 50% of Marmol’s resale.
