Samir El Mourabet drove Strasbourg’s 3-1 win over Nice with a goal and an assist, while Isak Jansson failed to fire. L'Équipe notes the Morocco international mixed decisive moments with errors but was the standout performer.

An El Mourabet mistake inside two minutes nearly gifted Nice the opener. Martial Godo forced the first effort on eight minutes, then struck the bar after a loose pass from Juma Bah on 20, before guiding a header in for 1-0 on 28.

Godo pressed again to create another chance on 31. Julio Enciso made it 2-0 on 36 from El Mourabet’s crossfield ball, then Andrew Omobamidele’s superb tackle on 40 snuffed out a rare threat. El Mourabet whipped a half-volley into the top corner on 42 for 3-0.

El Mourabet also put in defensive graft with eight recoveries and several well-timed tackles, then departed for Barco on 58. Omobamidele, assured throughout, was replaced by Aaron Anselmino on 77.

Jansson, a surprise pick in Claude Puel’s 4-4-2, managed five passes, 15 touches and won three of eight duels before Cho came on at 46. Bah struggled without Dante beside him and was withdrawn at the break. Antoine Mendy salvaged a consolation on 82 with a firm finish beyond Penders but his distribution and duels let him down.
