RC Strasbourg Alsace head coach Liam Rosenior is one of the names considered to replace Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, according to The Athletic. The Italian manager has left the Blues this Thursday following a poor run of results that has seen Chelsea win only one Premier League game in December. “Enzo and the Club believe a change gives the team the best chance of getting the season back on track“, the London-based club said in a statement.

As an English-speaking head coach currently in charge at BlueCo-owned Strasbourg, Rosenior is a natural candidate to take over the Chelsea job. The former Hull City FC manager is reportedly “expected to be among the candidates” to replace Maresca. Rosenior has impressed since he replaced Patrick Vieira at Strasbourg in the summer of 2024. The Alsatians are seventh in Ligue 1 and top of the Conference League standings.
