According to Superdeporte, a LaLiga study finds Valencia CF are the Spanish club with the highest parent-to-child transmission of support.

Passing fandom through families, often from taking a child to the stadium until they later return the favour, remains a core driver of support in Valencia.

The findings sit within LaLiga’s initiative ‘42 legados, 42 formas de ganar’, which spans the 42 clubs across the top two divisions. It invites fans to contribute to a national and regional study on how allegiance is transmitted.

Parent-to-child remains the most common route across all clubs. Valencia CF top the metric with 51.92%, ahead of Sevilla FC on 47.84% and Athletic Club on 46.31%.

The campaign frames football’s inheritance as one of LaLiga’s key values, bringing together 42 cultures and ways of feeling and winning in a shared pride of belonging. It seeks to celebrate what supporters receive from their own and nurture with each generation.
