Stuttgart enquire about RB Salzburg’s €6m-rated forward Edmund Baidoo | OneFootball

According to a report from FussballTransfers, VfB Stuttgart have enquired about the signing of RB Salzburg forward Edmund Baidoo.

However, after the signing of Jeremy Arévalo (20) from Racing Santander for €7m, it’s unlikely that VfB will make any further purchases in January, more so in attack with the return of Ermedin Demirovic following after suffering a fractured metatarsal in October.

Only three teams have scored more goals than Stuttgart’s 32 this season, with Deniz Undav responsible for 10 goals in 13 league appearances this term.

Who is Edmund Baidoo?

Under contract with Salzburg until 2029, Baidoo has scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 Austrian Bundesliga games in 2025/26, averaging a goal contribution every 95 minutes.

The 19-year-old featured in Salzburg’s friendly against Bayern Munich earlier in the month, with the young attacker particularly impressing.

FussballTransfers further report that numerous Bundesliga clubs have Baidoo on their radar, with the youngster generating loose interest from Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
