As reported by Mirko Di Natale, Stuttgart are willing to pay a €2m to fee to remove the release clause from the contract of their star midfielder, Angelo Stiller.

The 25-year-old has been attracting interest from across the continent for a few seasons now, and it looks like he may finally be on the move this summer.

With 48 appearances across all competitions, the Germany international has again been dictating play from the base of Stuttgart’s midfield and has helped them reach the DFB-Pokal final and remain in the hunt for Champions League football.

The Swabians are fourth in the Bundesliga table with three games to go, level on points with fifth-placed Hoffenheim and two points off sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen; they’re yet to face both.

Stiller has a €36.5m release clause in his €4.53m-per-year contract, which still has two years remaining. Stuttgart are willing to pay €2 million to eliminate this clause and are expected to hold out for a fee in the region of €50 million to let him go this summer.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Stiller in recent days, while Juventus have made initial contact with his entourage.
