Sunderland confirm 2026-27 pre-season with USA tour and home Stade Rennais friendly | OneFootball

Sunderland have confirmed their full pre-season schedule for the 2026-27 Premier League campaign, including a three-match USA tour and a home friendly. The club set out the dates as Régis Le Bris’ side finalise preparations.

Pre-season begins at York City on Saturday, July 18, at the LNER Community Stadium, kick-off 3pm BST. The squad will then spend a week in Nashville, Tennessee, concluding that leg against Liverpool at Geodis Park on Saturday, July 25, 5pm CDT.

They next face Leeds United in Harrison, New Jersey, at the Sports Illustrated Stadium on Thursday, July 30, 7.30pm EDT. The stateside programme ends against Wrexham at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, August 2, at 12pm EDT.

After returning to Wearside, a double-header with RC Lens follows on Saturday, August 8. A Sunderland XI meet a Lens XI behind closed doors at the Ligue 1 club’s training ground at 11am BST, before a different XI play later that day at Stade Bollaert-Delelis at 4pm BST.

The only home friendly brings Stade Rennais to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, August 15, kick-off 3pm BST, one week before the 2026-27 Premier League season begins. Further information, including ticketing and streaming details, will be communicated in due course.
