Arthur Avom Ebong, 21, will be a free agent at the end of the season with Lorient FC and is attracting interest from several European clubs, including Galatasaray SK, Chelsea, RC Strasbourg, and Stade Rennais.
But according to the latest reports, Sunderland AFC appears to be in pole position to sign him. The English club is in direct contact with the player's representatives and could offer him a four-year contract, with an option for an additional season.
This season, Avom has been a regular starter in Ligue 1, making 22 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His future now seems firmly set towards England.
