Sunderland interim CEO Tom Burwell is set to meet supporter representatives in the coming weeks after widespread concerns about ticketing and communication during the season-ticket renewal process.
"Driving revenues in today's Premier League has to be the single most important thing for the business so that you can invest back into the team," said Burwell. "The ownership and the board recognise the connection that is currently in place with the fans, and putting those fans first and foremost will always remain the same." He told Sunderland Echo.
Fans have reported failed direct debits, seat allocation errors and persistent problems selecting or relocating seats. Complaints span age groups, seating areas and ticket types, indicating the issues are not isolated.
Communication has been another flashpoint, with supporters citing unclear and inconsistent information when seeking fixes. Similar accounts have emerged across the Jimmy Montgomery Suite, corporate areas, 76 Yards and general admission.
A meeting with Burwell is expected during the week commencing four May, with supporter representatives preparing to raise these concerns directly. Red and White Army are gathering views to shape the agenda for their next structured dialogue.
Fresh cases continue to surface, underlining the scale as the club adjusts to life back in the Premier League. The upcoming talks are intended to provide a channel for detailed feedback to senior figures.
