Sunderland have been linked with Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa and AIK teenager Zadok Yohanna as transfer talk gathers pace, with the window still over a week from opening.
La Gazette du Fennec reports that Sunderland are among several Premier League clubs tracking the 24-year-old, who recorded 11 goals and 6 assists in 30 Eredivisie matches. Chelsea, Newcastle United, Liverpool and Bournemouth are also credited with interest, and Benfica are understood to be keen.
The Algeria international struck a headline goal earlier this week, beating Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs in a pre-World Cup friendly against the Netherlands.
"I'm still under contract with Feyenoord. As long as that's the case, the answer is no. But in life, and therefore also in football, you never know what the future holds. Maybe I'll leave, maybe I'll stay; neither of us knows at the moment." He told Algemeen Dagblad.
"I'm open to all options. Maybe Feyenoord wants to sell me, maybe not. We'll see. If I were to leave, I'd prefer to go to England. I think I could also play in Spain with my style of play. Or in France. They're also fantastic footballing nations. But the Premier League is the best league in the world."
Meanwhile, TEAMtalk claims Sunderland have made contact over Newcastle-linked winger Yohanna, 19, who is on the books at Swedish side AIK. Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace are also said to be interested.
