Sunderland will return to The Bridges with a new official club store opening at 9am on Friday, June 12, complete with a fan launch.

According to Sunderland Echo, the store, opened in partnership with Fanatics, will complement the Stadium of Light outlet and give supporters another destination for official merchandise.

Mascots Samson and Delilah will meet fans, the first customer through the door will receive an exclusive gift, and giveaways include a Spin-to-Win Wheel with hospitality tickets and signed shirts.

It is the club’s first dedicated city-centre shop since the Debenhams concession closed, after years of only pop-up stalls.

Momentum is strong after a seventh-placed Premier League finish secured Europa League football via a 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Stadium of Light. It will be the club’s first European campaign in more than 50 years and is expected to boost footfall and the local economy.

Friday also brings the launch of the 2026-27 training wear collection with Hummel, available in-store. The club says this is the first of several ranges, with home, away and third kits to follow in the coming months.

The away strip has been teased to carry a very special American connection, with a pre-season tour of the United States planned later this summer. The Bridges shop features an expanded gifting range, while the Stadium of Light store remains the flagship. The opening creates jobs, with an assistant manager role advertised ahead of launch.
