Sunderland U21s prospects Elias Lenz, Charlie Dinsdale and Finlay Holcroft have completed non-league loan moves to Whitby. Lenz is in until the end of the season, while Dinsdale and Holcroft have one-month deals.
According to Sunderland Echo, the trio have impressed for Graeme Murty’s development side in recent weeks. Lenz, a midfielder who arrived from RB Leipzig in 2024, has played six times since January after hamstring surgery sidelined him for much of 2025, and he is yet to make a senior Sunderland debut.
Defender Holcroft has made 16 league appearances for the U21s this season. Dinsdale, an attacking option, has one goal and three assists in 11 Premier League 2 matches.
Whitby are just above the Northern Premier League relegation zone, two points clear after three straight defeats. They visit 10th-placed Warrington Town on Saturday afternoon.
All three could feature under co-managers Lee Bullock and Jason Kennedy as the Seasiders look to steady their form.
