Inter Milan center-back Manuel Akanji aims to secure Supercoppa Italiana glory and further enrich his glittering trophy cabinet.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, Akanji has earned a reputation as a ‘Super Cup specialist.’

Manuel Akanji joined Inter on a season-long loan from Manchester City in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

Indeed, the 30-year-old cut ties with the Cityzens following a trophy-laden three-year stint at the Etihad Stadium.

Elsewhere, he lifted the DFL-Supercup trophy with Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

Now, he could add to his collection, with Inter seeking their ninth Supercoppa Italiana title in Riyadh.

Cristian Chivu will make his touchline debut in the competition when Inter face Bologna in the semi-finals on Friday.
