What looked like another illness setback for FC Bayern ahead of their Bavarian derby vs.FC Augsburg has taken a positive twist, with Lennart Karl now eavailable and even in the starting lineup despite earlier reports suggesting he might miss out.
In the build-up to the Saturday showdown at the Allianz Arena, a virus sweeping through the Bayern camp had already ruled out Dayot Upamecano and raised doubts over both Karl and Serge Gnabry after they were absent from Friday’s training session amid concerns they’d been struck down, too.
