Takehiro Tomiyasu has signed a six-month deal with Ajax on Tuesday, having ended his Arsenal contract in the summer.
The short-term agreement runs until the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Ajax said in a statement that he still needs to regain match rhythm, but they are confident his experience means he will adapt quickly.

The 27-year-old has not played since 5 October 2024 because of a knee injury.
He previously played for Bologna and Arsenal.
The move offers him a chance to relaunch his career after a lengthy lay-off.
He arrives to bolster an Ajax back line that has struggled in the Champions League, conceding 18 goals, the worst record in the league phase.
