Jarrod Bowen has said it is disrespectful to speak about his future after the very, very raw feeling of relegation with West Ham.

West Ham have been relegated from thePremier League despite a 3-0 win over Leeds United on the final weekend. Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 win over Everton condemned the Irons to the drop, ending a 14-year spell in the top flight.

It concludes a miserable campaign for the East London side, who have endured a drastic decline since winning the Europa Conference League in 2023. Bowen said the hurt of relegation outweighs all of the highs from past season.

Asked how it feels to be relegated, he said toMatch of the Day: "Just hurt. I've been here six and a half years now. Had a lot of good moments and this outweighs all of it. Getting this club relegated... it hurts.

"We shouldn't be in the position we're in but we've found ourselves in it and we've not done enough to stay up. Hurt is the only thing.

"We've had so many games when we could have got different results. You can look at it and say 'these, these, these, these' but, ultimately, we didn't pick the points up and in this league, the quality is so high and we didn't give ourselves enough of a chance.

"You can individualise every single game. You can't look back at every game but in some games we didn't show the levels consistently enough."

Bowen has been one of the few positive performers in a poor season for West Ham, scoring nine times and providing 11 assists.

Asked about his future with the Hammers, he said: "It's still very, very raw. Talking about futures is disrespectful to the club, the fans, everything like that. This club deserves to be in thePremier League. Our aim now is to get this club back into the Premier League.

"It's disrespectful to everyone to start talking about that. I want this club to be in the Premier League. It's a club that means so much to me and has given me so much so my vision is to get this club back in the Premier League."
