“Talks progressing” | Hammers target Cresswell | OneFootball

West Ham are in talks to sign Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse.

The England U21 defender is said to be a top target for Graham Potter as the summer transfer window gets set to draw to a close today, as the club look for a new centre-back to replace the outgoing Nayef Aguerd.

Sadly Aguerd leaves the club under a cloud, having refused to travel with the team to face Nottingham Forest yesterday, however Marseille are close to signing the player for a £19.9m deal.

West Ham are targeting Cresswell as his replacement, however there are others in the mix including Axel Disasi from Chelsea and Taylor Harwood-Belis of Southampton.

Its believed that Cresswell is available for around £13m, so once the deal for Aguerd is sanctioned, the club are set to table an offer for the player which we hope will see him head to London.

The club are in talks for other players also as its expected to be a busy end to the window.
