César Tárrega has avoided a serious knee injury and could be out for only a couple of weeks after Sunday’s scare against Getafe, according to AS.
Initial examinations indicate the Valencia centre-back has no major damage to his knee.

Tárrega asked to be substituted in the 30th minute. His reaction prompted fears of a significant problem, but the early assessment was positive.
The precise diagnosis will be clarified in the coming days, but the club are confident his lay-off will be brief.
Despite the setback not being serious, Valencia still have an urgent need to sign a centre-back.
