Real Madrid will lock horns with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Madrid derby. Los Blancos secured a dominant 4-1 win away at Levante earlier this week, which should keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Xabi Alonso will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this clash. Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal could play from the start of this game.
Thibaut Courtois will function in between the sticks for the Madrid giants after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Eder Militao will operate alongside Dean Huijsen at the centre of the Real Madrid backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay throughout the 90 minutes.
Dani Carvajal will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back, while Alvaro Carreras hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
David Alaba will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.

Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Los Blancos’ midfield. Their main focus would be to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer some inviting chances in the final third.
Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham will be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Vinicius Junior will try to impress as the left-sided wide player, while Franco Mastantuono hopes to give a good account of himself on the right flank.
Kylian Mbappe will once again lead the line for Alonso’s side up top. The French talent would be eager to keep his good form going by scoring in the Madrid derby this weekend.
Rodrygo will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Real Madrid are in need of a goal by then.
