The Magpies head into the fourth round tie at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park on the back of a memorable night in the Carabao Cup as they booked their place in next month's final with a 2-0 semi-final second leg win over Arsenal on Wednesday night.
And head coach Howe has opted to shuffle his pack as his side look to continue their run in a different competition, with ex-Blues defender Dan Burn and skipper Bruno Guimarães the only players asked to go again from the start in the clash with the League One leaders.
Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth, Burn and Matt Targett form a back four in front of goalkeeper Pope, with Sean Longstaff and Guimarães in midfield along with Lewis Miley.
Wilson will lead the line for United, with support from Will Osula and Joe Willock, with Alexander Isak and Jacob Murphy among the substitutes.
It's a strong-looking bench, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, Sandro Tonali and Lewis Hall also named, along with two goalkeepers - Martin Dúbravka and John Ruddy, who featured for the hosts last season.
And 17-year-old forward Sean Neave is also named as a substitute. It is the first time Neave has been included in a first team matchday squad.
