Thaciano a doubt for Santos’ Bragantino clash after thigh pain | OneFootball

Attacking midfielder Thaciano is a doubt for Santos’ home match against Red Bull Bragantino in the 15th round of the Brasileirão on Sunday, after suffering pain in his left thigh during the 1-1 Copa Sudamericana draw with Recoleta at Vila Belmiro.

According to Diario Do Peixe, he will undergo tests to determine whether there is muscle damage and to assess the extent of the issue.

Thaciano came on at 28 minutes of the second half for Gabigol, but lasted only 18 minutes. He felt discomfort after a challenge in the box and had to be withdrawn late on.

This season he has four goals and one assist in 23 appearances for Santos.

Peixe head into Sunday under pressure. They are winless in seven and sit 16th in the league on 15 points, level with Corinthians, the first side inside the relegation zone.
