The 41-year-old replaced Enzo Maresca at the start of the year, and signed a six and half year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Rosenior has made a good start to life in west London, and remains unbeaten in the Premier League with four wins and two draws from his six games in charge.

Liam Rosenior wants to be at Chelsea long term

His only two defeats have come against Arsenal in both legs of the Carabao Cup semi final, but the Blues now face a tough run of fixtures.

There have been signs of improvement under Rosenior certainly from an attacking perspective, but the Blues have still been plagued by defensive frailties.

No manager has lasted longer than 18 months under the new ownership, and Rosenior knows he must get results, but admitted he wants to be at Chelsea long term.

“Sitting here in this chair, I want to be here for as long as possible, I want to be the guy. Not just me, by the way,” he told Mail Sport.

“The team, the staff, the ownership, the sporting directors, everyone – I want to be a part of something really, really successful for a long, long time. That’s why I signed up to this challenge.

The end of upheaval for Chelsea?

There’s been a lot of change at the club over the last nearly four years, and Rosenior is hoping his appointment is the end of the upheaval.

“The reality of football is what gives you time is being successful and you need to show your quality,” he added.
