After their six-game winning run was ended by defeat to Southampton in the previous game, Coventry got their title charge back on track with a 3-0 victory at Swansea City before the international break, with Brandon Thomas-Asante's penalty and goals from Matt Grimes and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto sealing all three points.

The Sky Blues currently sit top of the Championship table, nine points clear of second-placed Middlesbrough and 11 points clear of third-placed Ipswich Town and fourth-placed Millwall, although that gap may have closed by the time they kick off on Friday night.

Derby continued their play-off push as they secured their fourth victory in five games with a 1-0 win over Birmingham City at Pride Park last time out, with Rhian Brewster's first half strike proving to be the decisive moment.

The Rams are eighth in the table, just three points behind sixth-placed Southampton, and with the Saints in FA Cup action this weekend, John Eustace's men will be looking to go level on points with Tonda Eckert's side.

As they prepare to tackle the business end of the season, both Coventry and Derby are contending with a number of injury problems, and with that in mind, we looked at which players are set to miss Friday's game.

Oliver Dovin - Coventry City

Goalkeeper Oliver Dovin has now been sidelined for over a year after suffering a serious knee injury in Coventry's defeat at Sheffield United last March.

Dovin was initially hoping to make his return in January, but while his recovery is taking longer than anticipated, the Sky Blues are in good hands between the sticks as Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Carl Rushworth continues to impress.

Miguel Angel Brau - Coventry City

Defender Miguel Angel Brau joined Coventry from Spanish side Granada in the summer, but he has struggled to establish himself at the CBS Arena so far.

Brau has made just 10 appearances for the Sky Blues in all competitions this season, with the last of those coming in the draw at Charlton Athletic on New Year's Day, and he is currently unavailable due to a muscle injury.

Jack Rudoni - Coventry City

Midfielder Jack Rudoni has played a crucial role in Coventry's promotion push this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 28 appearances.

However, after missing over two months due to injury earlier in the season, Rudoni has been absent for the past four games with a calf problem, and while he is expected to play some part over the Easter weekend, it is unclear whether he will be fit enough to feature against Derby.

Brandon Thomas-Asante - Coventry City

Striker Brandon Thomas-Asante netted his 12th goal of the season when he opened the scoring from the penalty spot against Swansea, but he is an injury doubt for the visit of Derby.

Thomas-Asante withdrew from the Ghana squad during the recent international break after being substituted in the 62nd minute in South Wales due to a tight hamstring, and Lampard gave little away over the 27-year-old's fitness on Thursday, stating that "we’ll have to see where he is for these two games".

Haji Wright - Coventry City

While Thomas-Asante has recorded some strong numbers for Coventry this season, fellow striker Haji Wright has an even more eye-catching goal tally, having scored 17 goals in 36 appearances so far.

Wright missed the trip to Swansea due to a groin strain, with the problem also preventing him from reporting for international duty with the United States, and while he trained with the Sky Blues squad on Wednesday, Lampard admitted it was too "early" to know whether he will be able to feature on Friday night.

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom - Derby County

Goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom enjoyed a solid first half of the season for Derby as he kept six clean sheets in 29 appearances, but he has not featured for Eustace's men since the end of January.

Zetterstrom has been sidelined due to a mystery virus, but Eustace revealed on Thursday that he is "progressing really nicely now" and predicted that he could resume training with his team-mates "in a couple more weeks".

Josh Vickers - Derby County

Goalkeeper Josh Vickers initially deputised for Zetterstrom during his absence, but after making seven consecutive starts, he sustained an

injury of his own last month.

With Vickers expected to be out for six to eight weeks with a groin problem, third choice Richard O'Donnell has stepped up admirably in recent weeks, and his performances have even earned him a new contract at Pride Park.

Max Johnston - Derby County

Defender Max Johnston became one of a number of big money signings to arrive at Derby this summer as he joined from Austrian side Sturm Graz in a deal worth £3.5 million.

Johnston has made just nine appearances for the Rams so far, with the most recent of those coming in late October, but after over five months out with hamstring and calf issues, he was pictured back in training during the international break, suggesting his return may not be too far away.

Sondre Langas - Derby County

Defender Sondre Langas has become an integral part of the Derby team since his move from Norwegian side Viking last January for a fee of around £4 million, but he has struggled with injuries at times this season.

Langas has been absent since late January due to a hamstring injury, but recent photos showing him in training appear to confirm that he is closing in on a return to action, although the Coventry clash may come a little too soon for the 25-year-old.

Callum Elder - Derby County

Defender Callum Elder has been a regular starter for Derby this season, scoring one goal and providing six assists in 30 appearances, but he has missed the last five games due to injury.
