The Congolese locomotive doesn’t stop: Fiston Mayele scores again to lead Pyramids to victory
Pyramids FC returned to winning ways with comfortable 2-0 victory over Pharco on Tuesday evening, closing out matchweek 11 of the Egyptian Premier League.
The hosts took the lead in the 23 minute through Fiston Mayele who finished clever team move after Mohamed Hamdy’s cross found Mohamed Chibi whose pinpoint through ball was tapped home by the Congolese striker.
Pyramids doubled their advantage in the 57 minute when Mostafa Fathi headed in cross from Mohanad Lasheen. Pharco goalkeeper failed to deal with the effort as it slipped through his hands to seal the result.
Fiston Mayele’s goal was his 2nd of the league season reinforcing his growing influence since joining the club.
Mostafa Fathi, meanwhile opened his account for the campaign with his first goal of 2025 /26.
The win moved Pyramids FC up to mid table with 14 point while Pharco remained in trouble on just 6 point slipping closer to the relegation zone after 2nd consecutive defeat.
