Can lightning strike twice? Well it looks like it can because another Alexander Isak has arrived on the scene.

Liverpool's season has not gone according to plan. There is no denying that things could have looked a lot different had Isak, a player they spent £125m on in the summer would have been available.

But apart from a few sporadic moments in the campaign, Liverpool have never really been able to see the best of the Swedish international.

That's because Isak missed the whole of pre-season last summer. He arrived with a lot of catching up to do, and the reality is that he never really was able to catch-up.

Just as he had settled into some sort of rhythm he suffered an injury in December that has ruled him out until he made his return against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday night.

It has been a frustrating campaign for Isak but he will come good. He is a superstar, and that has been obvious ever since he started his career back in Sweden.

Wearing the no.36 on his back, at 16-years-old Isak had already established himself as a mainstay in AIK’s first team in the top-flight of Swedish football.

By the time his 17th birthday came around, Isak was scoring a brace in one of Sweden's biggest derbies to help his side to victory.

So impressive was Isak at the time that he attracted the attention of the world. AIK’s home matches would be filled to the brim with top scouts from around the globe keen to get a closer look at this next big thing in European football.

Liverpool were among them, even then Michael Edwards wanted to sign the Swede but he had other plans. Borussia Dortmund would be his next destination and it wasn't until almost a decade later that he ended up at Anfield again. With Edwards needing to spend the big bucks to get him.

But Liverpool will have learned from that. And they can put those lessons into action.

Because lightning has struck twice. There's a new Isak on the scene.

Wearing the same number as Isak, the no.36, AIK is developing the next big thing in Zadok Yohanna.

A Nigerian 18-year-old right-winger who has 12 goal contributions in his last 12 games for AIK in 2026, including friendlies.

In competitive games, he has five goal contributions in five games, playing just 297 minutes in total. So, he's averaging a goal or assist every 59.4 minutes.

Yohanna isn't just special because of his output though. The sample size is small so right now we aren't just looking at the output but his performances, and it is these performances and his playing style that makes him special.

At such a young age, he already comes across as a very complete player.

Yohanna is a master dribbler, who has attempted 31 dribbles and completed 19 of them in his last three games. He possesses excellent ball manipulation skills, and his technical prowess is superb.

From the mastery of his first-touch to his ability to quickly shift his feet and change direction in close quarters, Yohanna can bamboozle defenders with ease. He sells every feint and drop of the shoulder really well, and the disguise of his movement to put his opponents off balance is what makes him such an excellent one vs one winger.
