The Premier League hit the pause button this week as we head into the final international break of the calendar year.

All statistics mentioned here are from FBref unless stated otherwise.

The Premier League players with the most goal involvements

=5. Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) – 9

Castigated for his poor finishing last season, Nicolas Jackson has been more assured in front of goal this term, scoring six goals in 11 starts for Chelsea. He’s also provided three assists, meaning he’s been directly involved in 43 percent of their 21 goals in the Premier League. Not bad at all.

=5. Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) – 9

Staying in west London, Bryan Mbeumo has been in excellent form for Brentford this year, scoring eight goals and providing one assist for the Bees. He squeezes into the top five ahead of teammate Yoane Wissa (eight goal involvements). Who needs Ivan Toney?

4. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – 10

Arsenal‘s Starboy has been Mr. Consistent in 2024/25, contributing at least one goal involvement per game in the Premier League. The only player on this list with more assists (7) than goals (3), Bukayo Saka leads the division in assists, shot-creating actions (57) and goal-creating actions (12).

=2. Cole Palmer (Chelsea) – 12

After topping the Premier League in goal involvements (33) last season, Cole Palmer is once again showing his proficiency in both scoring and creating goals. The Chelsea star has found the net seven times and assisted another five, although he’s been quiet in the past month with just one assist in his last four top-flight appearances.

=2. Erling Haaland (Man City) – 12

Newsflash: Erling Haaland scores goals and lots of them. Who knew?! The Manchester City striker has 12 of them in 11 games, the latest of which was his 75th since joining the Premier League – in just his 77th appearance. Madness.

=5. Mo Salah (Liverpool) – 14

Mo Salah is 32 years of age and might well still be the best player in the Premier League. The Egyptian winger may have lost a yard, but he’s still absolutely lethal in and around the box, registering eight goals and six assists.

Arne Slot’s more methodical approach to attack might be suiting the Liverpool forward. He’s not required to press like a maniac as he was under Jurgen Klopp, so he can reserve his energy for when he’s in dangerous positions.
