What a run! The AC Milan Primavera head into the last international break of the season as league leaders, joint with Sassuolo and Lazio thanks to three consecutive wins over Fiorentina, Hellas Verona and Cagliari with clean sheets in the latter two. These are great results for the Rossoneri who can boast the best attack in the league - 26 goals scored - and a defence second only to Lazio and Inter in terms of fewest goals conceded.
Big numbers for a big side to go along with convincing performances and consistent growth, the side have moved past the defeats to Bologna and Cremonese. It's important to note that, as evidenced by the growth of the entire group, 13 different players have scored already this season. Led by Alessandro Bonomi who with the goal against Cagliari has bagged seven goals in the first 11 games, he is also one of the top three highest goalscorers in the Primavera league.
The rendez-vous with another two potential hazards will arrive in the coming weeks from our visit to Sassuolo on December 18 to hosting Lazio in January, the first game of 2025. The table is close, the top ten sides are all within five points, but Guidi's lads are strengthened by the fact that they are growing in consistency game after game. After each disappointing performance, there has been a fast reaction. This leaves us with a lot of hope for the intense run-in to the end of the year.
When proceedings resume, we will have five away days ahead of us before Christmas and three games for our Primavera at the PUMA House of Football. Aside from the league, we have to close out the first phase of the Youth League in the best way possible, having so fair picked up less than we would have deserved. The aim will be to finish in the top 22, currently divided by three points: beating Slovan Bratislava and Crvena zvezda would give us a better outlook in the table. Forza ragazzi!
