Isla Navidad, Colima.- There is a favorite spot where Chivas Femenil feels at home when it comes to preparing for a new Liga MX Femenil tournament. For the past six years, Guadalajara has adopted the beaches of Colima as its base, surrounded by ideal conditions for the Rojiblanca preseason, always sheltered by the affection of the Chiva Nation that resides in these ports.
It all began in the winter of 2019, when the Rebaño Sagrado pioneered the Circuito Rosa by holding a preseason at a beach destination, with the port of Manzanillo as its headquarters. That was their home for seven semesters: CL20 preseason, CL21 preseason, AP21 preseason, AP22 preseason, CL23 preseason, AP23 preseason, and CL24 preseason.
Ahead of Chivas Femenil's participation in the AP24 and the Summer Cup that same year, the Rojiblancas decided to change ports, moving 56 kilometers away. That preseason and the current one, Isla Navidad welcomed the Chiverío, thus strengthening our team's bond with the beaches of Colima.
During Guadalajara's numerous visits to the ports of Colima, all sorts of things have happened, especially encounters with tropical storms. There have already been three cyclones that have challenged the Rojiblancos' work, but they have not diminished the intensity of the players. The first was Hurricane Enrique during preparations for AP21, the second was Hurricane Blas during the AP22 preseason, and now Hurricane Flossie has made landfall during the Rebaño's training.
It is a reality that weather conditions are also a very important factor in building a solid physical foundation for the Guadalajara team, as both Manzanillo and Isla Navidad offer challenging climates for this. Temperatures have ranged from 72ºF to 98ºF, with humidity reaching as high as 95 percent, making it feel like 104ºF.
The most important thing about all this is that, regardless of the weather conditions or the time of year, the Chivahermanos always make time to visit Guadalajara's training sessions, thus strengthening the relationship that Chivas Femenil and Colima have built over the years.
