The Succession Plan? Liverpool targets Ghanaian star amid Salah's rare dip in form
Liverpool are weighing January move for Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo with multiple British & European outlets confirming the 25 year old Ghanaian forward is firmly on the Reds radar to bolster the right side of attack.
According to "This Is Anfield", Bournemouth quoted £75 million for Semenyo last summer while reports now point to release clause below £100m.
Sporting director Richard Hughes who originally signed the player for Bournemouth is thought to be a key driving force behind the renewed interest.
Semenyo’s form this season has been electric: 6 goal and 3 assist in 8 Premier League appearance. Versatile & relentless, the Ghanaian international thrives across the front line, and naturally fits the right wing profile Liverpool are monitoring.
The move comes at time when Mohamed Salah is under increased scrutiny for rare dip in output compared to last season.
Jamie Carragher was among the most prominent analysts who questioned why the egyptian star should started all of the team's away matches , fueling speculation that Liverpool's in dire need of new attacking depth.
Although no official bid has been made , Bournemouth're expected to hold firm to their high price after seeing Semenyo's market value skyrocket recently.
