SYS Monaco’s VR headset lets fans feel the rush of scoring in a packed stadium, while offering professionals a tool for training and rehab.

According to Nice-Matin, founder Fardi Mohamed set up the company in 2021 after 12 years in immersive video. During a trial at Allianz Riviera, a jubilant Nice fan even crashed head first into a screen while celebrating.

In the Digital Zone on the third floor of IBC Monaco, an AI hostess signals the scope of the tech and an F1 simulator supplies the adrenaline. The set-up will be on the Allianz forecourt before Nice-Paris. Ambassador Dylan Dominguez presents it as a way to reconnect supporters with a stadium or a past great such as his father, Jorge Dominguez El Potro.

Branded SYS, for Show Your Skill, the customisable product throws down the challenge, Montre ton talent. Foot sensors slip on like overshoes, placing users on the pitch in a pair of Predators. Drills span finishing, passing and goalkeeping, with ball launchers, opponents to evade and end-of-session statistics.

Mohamed, Dominguez and Jimmy are also working with Manchester-based Rezzil to distribute the system in France, with 14 Premier League clubs already using it. Clubs deploy it for scouting, development and reathletisation, maintaining visual scanning, rhythm and reflexes without contact.

For Dylan Dominguez, it can help an injured player stay mentally connected to the game. Three scientific studies support the programme used at AS Monaco, and multi-ownership clubs such as Strasbourg and Nice have been introduced to it.
