After a successful loan in North Africa with Wydad in Morocco, press reports revealed that the South African star Thembonkosi Lorch loaned to Wydad seems to be the player wants to move again to have a new experience.
Wydad failed to get the player fully after he failed to meet the financial demand for the player and Mamelodi Sun Downs as well, so the deal failed this doors in front of the player for an experience
The 30-year-old footballer, no longer part of Mamelodi Sundowns' plans, now finds himself at the center of a tug-of-war between four clubs with varying ambitions.
Wydad Casablanca remains hopeful of securing a last-minute deal, while Kaizer Chiefs sees him as a strategic addition to bolster their attack. FC Seoul is drawn to his veteran experience for the K-League, and Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) stands ready to meet his financial expectations.
Initially, Sundowns reportedly demanded around €1 million for his transfer, as exclusively revealed by Africa Foot. However, with dwindling interest from their technical staff, the club may lower their asking price. According to sources close to the matter, the player’s priority remains a competitive sporting project and contract stability.
Though Wydad admires his performances—particularly in the Club World Cup, where he shone against Manchester City and Juventus—their financial constraints have weakened their position. They failed to activate the purchase option, set at $600,000 (€519,753), within the agreed timeframe.
Reports indicate that the player’s agent has received concrete offers from the three other clubs. A final decision is expected in the coming days. For the player, the choice now lies between staying in Africa or embarking on a new challenge in Asia or the Middle East.
