As reported earlier this week it would be a major surprise if Jack Grealish remained at Manchester City after this season. He has fallen out of favour during the second half of the 24/25 season. Ahead of Manchester City’s final Premier League fixture of the season against Fulham today it has been reported that Grealish has been left out of the City squad for today’s match. There appears to be no way back for Grealish at Manchester City. What the future holds for the England international remains to be seen at this stage.
Mike McGrath has reported for the Telegraph that Jack Grealish has been left out of the Manchester City squad for today’s crucial Premier League fixture against Fulham. Furthermore, McGrath reports that Grealish is scheduled for talks with the City hierarchy over his future at the end of the season. McGrath further reports that Grealish may not play at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. If he is deemed surplus to requirements at City he may need to find a new club during the summer.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on his official X account that the feeling is that Jack Grealish will almost certainly leave Manchester City this summer. The club and Grealish are looking for solutions as per Romano’s report.
Based on Mike McGrath and Fabrizio Romano’s new reports there is no way back for Jack Grealish at Manchester City. The fact that he has reportedly been left out of the City squad for today’s match is telling. That shows that Grealish has fallen way down the pecking order for Pep Guardiola. The fact that it has now gotten to this point suggests only one ending. Jack Grealish won’t be at City for next season. There’s no other conclusion to draw.
Mike McGrath and Fabrizio Romano’s reports aren’t a major surprise. Grealish has only started one Premier League fixture in 2025. As City have found form over the past few months, Grealish has largely been a spectator throughout City’s run. His appearances have come during the FA Cup or as a late substitute. That speaks for itself about Grealish’s standing in Pep Guardiola’s squad. Mike McGrath and Fabrizio Romano’s new reports just further emphasize this fact.
There appears to be no way back for Jack Grealish at Manchester City. He looks to be one player who will leave the club this summer. Grealish is a treble winner and has played a key role at times for Pep Guardiola’s side. But his time at the club appears to be up. His future will be a story to monitor throughout the summer transfer window.
