Thierry Henry sends public message to Real Madrid star | OneFootball

French football icon Thierry Henry has this weekend sent a message of congratulations the way of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé.

This comes after the latter continued to etch his name indellibly into the history books of the France national team.

Mbappé was for his part in from the off this week, as Les Bleus locked horns with Ukraine in a World Cup qualifying fixture.

And the 26-year-old went on to play a starring role in an eventual 2-0 triumph for Didier Deschamps’ troops.

After being set free in behind courtesy of a wonderful pass on the part of Real Madrid teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni, Mbappé made no mistake in rounding out the game’s scoring through a pinpoint finish.

Result aside, this goal marked a significant one when it comes to the history of French football.

As much comes with Mbappé having now levelled Thierry Henry as the country’s 2nd-highest international goalscorer of all-time.

And as alluded to above, the latter has since provided his response to the ongoing efforts of the former PSG standout.

Taking to Instagram, Henry unveiled a photo of he and a young Mbappé, as well as the pair kissing the World Cup, accompanied by the caption:
