Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says they will need to be at their ‘top level’ in order to take points off Arsenal and hand Liverpool the Premier League title.

If the Gunners were to lose at the Emirates tomorrow evening then Arne Slot’s men will be crowned champions but Glasner is under no illusions how difficult the challenge will be for his side tomorrow evening.

“We have to rely on our strengths,” Glasner told reporters ahead of the match.

“We’ve lost both games this year, against them [Arsenal], but that doesn’t mean that we’ll lose the third.

“Every team now at the end of the season knows how the other team is going to play. Knows their strengths, knows their weaknesses.

“It’s possible to beat Arsenal but we need to perform at our top level and show our style in defending, transition and set plays. At our top level then it’s possible.

“We are looking forward to our Champions League week, playing against the Champions League semi-finalists and then the quarter-finalists within three days. It’s our Champions League week.”

Eddie Nketiah will return to his former club on Wednesday and despite struggling to make much of an impact at Palace, Glasner believes it’s too early to sum up the striker’s performance this season.

“It’s not time to sum up Eddie’s season now, but he’s so hard-working,” said Glasner.

“Sometimes I feel a little bit sad for him, personally, when I see all his effort. For example, Newcastle he comes on when we’re 5-0 down. It’s the worst situation you can have as a player.

“I had this once in my career and I didn’t really like it. He had two or three chances. At the end he could score and then he slipped.

“It looks like, sometimes, things don’t go well for him. But I spoke to him afterwards, because I see him every day working.

“There will come a day when he gets paid for all his effort. For me personally, it feels like they didn’t come now until now.

“We still have some great games to play, and maybe this day when he gets the payback for all his effort will come soon.”
