Thomas Frank opened his Spurs' Premier League account against Burnley back in August - he expects Saturday's return to be 'extremely tight' with Scott Parker's men 'a threat' at Turf Moor.

Thomas described Burnley as 'very competitive' and they proved just that last week at Anfield, where they rode the Mersey storm before coming from 1-0 down to grab a point - our former Academy graduate Marcus Edwards on target.

The Clarets remain in the bottom three, however, and we were convincing winners at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the opening day of the campaign - Richarlison lifting the roof off with his spectacular volley.

Asked in his pre-match press conference how different the Burnley team we faced in N17 will be to the one we face on Saturday, Thomas replied: “I think it's many of the same trends, I would say.

"They still have some clear patterns in how they want to build. We've just been looking at them in details today. They're still very solid, working very hard for each other, very difficult to break down, know who they are. In general, they look like a threat, especially when they play at home.

"Scott Parker's team, we've seen in a lot of their games, they're very competitive - at Anfield, they had a 1-1 draw. So, it's going to be another extremely tight game.

"It's about us. It's about we focus on what we can do to try to hit a top performance and really, really, really do what we can to win the game. We have to manage their threats in terms of both set pieces, counters, but be on top of it and, of course, create the opportunities - we need to score goals.”
