Three reasons why Leeds United have gone so long without a Premier League away win

Leeds United are 11 Premier League away matches without a win, a run they take to Crystal Palace on Sunday. By then it will be 176 days since their last victory on the road. Only Wolves have fewer away wins, with none.
According to Leeds Live, that sole success came at Wolves on September 20. Leeds sit in the bottom three for away form.
They have five away games left, ending with trips to relegation rivals Spurs and West Ham. April brings visits to Manchester United and Bournemouth, but first is Palace, mid-table and after a Europa Conference League tie four days earlier.
After a poor league result against Sunderland, this feels a prime moment to end the sequence. Home form has been strong, yet away struggles have kept them in the relegation fight. After the 1-1 at Aston Villa last month, Daniel Farke said he wanted more away wins.
Game states have hurt them late, with nine points conceded from the 85th minute onwards, seven of them away, or six excluding Manchester City. Many have come from set plays or poorly defended throws, so concentration is an issue.
Farke often sets up cautiously away, and out of possession Leeds frequently drop into a 5-4-1, which blunts transitions and invites pressure. They have scored first in four of the last five away games, then struggled to finish the job, and in an unforgiving league where they are underdogs must start turning more into wins to meet the 49ers’ aims.
